An extra step after contact, which allows player to execute a quality shot, hold balance and transfer with back-through-pelvis to recover to next shot. The Flow Movement - 'Before'The problem starts when the player gets no weight into her right leg as she prepares her open stance forehand. Because there is no stacking of weight, she almost falls out of the side of the shot and does not use the body correctly in rotation.Straight legs, a narrow base and an obvious lack of balance. The Flow Movement - 'After'Although it is still evident that Laura is still not stacking enough weight on her right leg as she sets up for the forehand, it is apparent that post contact her base has improved significantly, as has her centre of gravity. The improved width of her base and her subsequent lowering means her flow position is now much more balanced and much more stable. This will now allow her cross over step to be more dynamic.
The Flow Movement - 'Pro'Now you have seen the "before" and the improvement in the "after" drop step clips, here is an example of the "finished product"
